What's New for Spring 2026

Every season brings changes to the trails, and spring 2026 has some notable developments.

Trail Updates

Manaslu Circuit: Three new teahouses opened in the Tsum Valley section, making the route more comfortable. Hot showers are now available at Samdo.

Everest Region: The Namche Bazaar helipad has been upgraded, improving evacuation times. New solar-powered charging stations at Dingboche and Lobuche.

Annapurna: Trail improvements between Chhomrong and ABC — the stone steps have been repaired after last monsoon's landslide.

Safety Improvements

Nepal's Civil Aviation Authority has implemented new helicopter safety regulations: - All tourist helicopter flights now require two-pilot operations above 5,000 m - Enhanced weather monitoring at Lukla and Jomsom airports - Mandatory satellite tracking for all commercial flights

Our New Programs

Family Treks: We've launched three new family-friendly itineraries with shorter daily walks, extra rest days, and kid-focused activities.

Carbon Offset: Starting this season, every Adventure Alternative Nepal booking includes automatic carbon offsetting. We plant 12 native trees per traveler.

Digital Detox: Our new "Unplugged" option removes all phone access for the trek duration. Surprisingly popular.
